How do you prevent scammers and bad-faith sellers?

We utilize a service to authenticate and ID new vendors on the site. If any criminal activity occurs, we have the details to prosecute.

Why is there a commission on sales?
A)
The commission is there to, at the very least, allow the platform to self-sustain itself. Just the ID verification alone is roughly $600 a year. This doesnt include any other services, hosting, domain name, extra storage, database etc…
Additionally, the commision being 1% + $0.30 is considerably smaller than other similar platforms with less community connection such as Amazon (12%), Etsy(6.5%), Ebay (10-15%), FaceBook (10% per Item with shipping enabled.).

Why make this platform? Theres already FaceBook Marketplace, Ebay, Saabnet, and more.

Its 2025, and we still don’t have a solid cohesive marketplace for just us. Facebook is difficult cause it doesn’t always show you what your looking for, or doesn’t notify you before something pops up and someone nabs it before you can. Its also location based so finding parts means going through marketplace going area by area.
Saabnet is a good generally resource for everything saab. For newer people, or those just getting into Saabs, a modern design, with modern functions like ID verification, location based pickups, and a search bar, make it easier to get into the space.
Having everything together eases the strain of finding used and custom parts.

Will you be competing with sites like eSaabparts.com or other new parts stores?

Absolutely not! We love eSaabParts! They provide services that we simply cannot deam of replicating. Key making being a prime one.
Additionally, Sabb Parts Market is meant for used parts, old stock, and custom/bespoke parts. Ideally these would come out of shops and independants.

Vendors get the centralized attention of visitor traffic, making it easier for customers to find your product. This means faster sales, better recognition within the community, and shows the vendor as verifiable and trustworthy.
Sellers get the ease of going to one site, and finding all types of parts and sccessories for their Saab. And it all comes from within the community.
